Words of Gratitude

The work I have completed at SUNY Oneonta, especially this semester, would not have been possible without the tremendous support of my friends, family, peers, and professors.

To my lovely parents and sisters for always supporting my spontaneity and drive and for allowing me to question them constantly, no matter the topic. Also, for sending me photos of Pippa, Chico, and Mona at a moment’s notice.

To Dr. Brennan, who ignited my love for Women’s and Gender Studies. To Dr. Diamond-Lenow and Dr. Kachwala, for fanning the flames of my passion inside and outside of the classroom, and for supporting me endlessly through the most tiring times of my life. To Dr. Ashford, for always seeing the best in me and listening to what I had to say—especially when no one else would say it.

To Rebecca Harrington and Dr. Laura Dohner for giving me a safe space outside of the classroom to engage with the community using my Women’s and Gender Studies knowledge. Your flexibility and patience with me is something I can never truly thank you enough for.

To Liana, for reading over basically every word I have written in Women’s and Gender Studies classes and being a feminist killjoy, constantly by my side.

To Tara, for helping me design this blog from the moment it was created and, more importantly, being my first and best friend at SUNY Oneonta. The transformation I have gone through the past three years would not be possible without your support. Your humility, loyalty, and honesty inspires be every day to be the best person I can be.

To Matt, for supporting all of my crazy ideas, making me laugh, and knowing when to call me out. Our year long friendship has felt like a lifetime and I cannot wait to how much more you accomplish your senior year.

To Nelan and Connor, for the endless insightful conversations that led to my radicalization and the creation of this website. I am a completely different person than I was when I first met you a few months ago, and I know the changes I have made would not be possible without you two always being willing to educate me. I cannot wait to travel the country together.

To past Chaise, for being willing to embrace change and learn new things. You are so much stronger and smarter than you ever could have imagined. I am so proud of you.

I love you all immensely.

Best,

Chaise
