This project is a compilation of conversations I have had with friends, family, classmates, and professors. It is a compilation of panic attacks in which I realize my education has operated at the mercy of a capitalist state.

However, it did require an immense amount of research to fully understand the way markets operate and how they do so on college campuses.

Instead of using direct sourcing, I chose to reword all my sources in my genuine voice. This is the result of years of acquiring new skill sets in Women’s and Gender Studies, Africano and Latinx Studies, English, Communication, Anthropology, Political Science, etc. More than anything, I value my ability to learn concepts and relay them in a way that can make sense to a broad audience, especially that of my own age group. I choose to knowledge intersectional identities and how lived experiences allow everyone to understand concepts in expansive ways.

As a final hoorah to everything I have accomplished in higher education, while working under academic capitalism, this project comes from my heart and my own voice.
